I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
